Gabriella Chavez (b. 1991, Hoboken, NJ) is a Puerto Rican/Cuban-American artist based out of Kingston, NY.
While her primary mode of expression is painting, she works across various mediums including printmaking, collage, and music. She believes that exploring new avenues through different mediums allows for space to express her ideas while stumbling upon new ones. Her work is a reflective practice that oscillates between the representational and the abstract, primarily utilizing portraiture and interplays of color to evoke a similar introspection within the viewer.
